The ENOX Series is composed by 10 rods.
It has high modulus rod blanks that deliver an incredible strength to weight ratio. They have low resin, compound material design that results in maximum responsiveness.
The ENOX Series has the feel techniques rods. Each one of these rods has a primary technique with a secondary talent.
About their guides
The ENOX Series rods use guides that will let you have improved line control, letting you have longer casts. At the same time, they are wide enough to pass a leader knot. The guides they use are the advanced Kigan ZDH/Z with SiC inserts.
Mid Micro Guides
ALX Rods uses mid micro Guides on their rods. A micro guide is 3 or 4 millimeters in diameter, a standard guide is 6 millimeters, and a mid-micro guide (which is the one they use) is 5 millimeters.
Why a mid-micro guide?
A mid-micro guide has the best mix of features that complement their rods. A mid-micro guide will provide:
Excellent line control because of a smaller diameter. This basically translates into longer casts.
Because they have a smaller size, they weigh less, which results in an overall lighter rod. This is great, because the less weight there is on the rod (especially in front of the reel seat), the more sensitive the rod is going to be. Smaller guides equal less weight, and less weight equals more sensitivity.
They are big enough to pass leader knots.
They are made of stainless steel, which does great in any environment.
What about the grip?
The ENOX Series uses 100% cork grips. But it's not any type of cork. It's the top quality super cork that is also used on high-end fly rods. This is a huge deal.
Talking about cork grips, they are better quality than EVA grips, although they do require a little bit more care and caution. Cork grips are lighter, they are less cold when touching it on cold weather, they have lower damping capacity, which translates in better vibration transmission AKA more sensitivity. (they are 3 times more sensitive than EVA foam grips), and they are less slippery. Here are a few reasons why cork grips are great for bass fishing rods (adding value to any ALX rod):
It’s harder for it to absorb water.
Like we previously mentioned, it’s a lighter material.
It does not compress under load. This will provide you a solid grip when you cast.
It’s very resistant to abrasion.
Trimmed Reel Seats (Lighter Rod)
These rods have trimmed reel seats. This reduces the weight of the rod and it also eliminates contact with threading.
Specially Designed Actions
The ENOX Series was designed carefully to have to be the perfect match for a specific technique. It has the perfect action for what each rod is made for. ALX Rods is the brand that does the best job in creating technique specific rods. Every single component of each rod was designed for what the rod will be used for. This rod series was made specifically to increase the percentage of fish you land.
